Danu's Irish Herb Garden
Ireland
Приєднався 6 вер 2017
My garden is named for the Irish Mother Goddess - Danu - and I am working to restore this small piece of Her land that I am blessed to be a guardian of. My mission in life is to do whatever I can to enable people to reconnect with the Mother Goddess by telling them all about plants, how to include them in their lives and how to tread gently on this Earth. I grow organic, healing plants and I share some of my herbal knowledge and tree lore reminding you that plants are intelligent, sentient beings, full of wisdom and generosity and ready to help humankind remain a part of this beautiful planet. PleaseNote - any information I give about medicinal plants is for interest only and should not replace medical care. Please see a herbalist if you have any health issues. I share how to grow and harvest plants and to save seed; how to use plants for medicine, & body-care. Treading gently on this Earth, we try to live as frugally and sustainably as possible and we share our lifestyle with you.

Chicken Check-Up
Переглядів 9 тис.Місяць тому
It's time to give the chickens a check up! We do this regularly to ensure they are ok. We only use our own natural and home made products to keep them healthy. Mites can be a problem to their legs and unfortunately, the medicine from the vet was so toxic it meant we couldn't eat the eggs. What I do now is, I cover their legs with one of my herbal oils. Today i am using St. John Wort's oil but I...
Making a Natural Spray Deodorant

This week I am showing how to make a natural spray deodorant which will be perfect for both women and men, thanks to the essential oils used. I think it is vital to our health that we make our own body care as so many commercial preparations contain harmful and ...

My new course - Herbal Health for Women, which will be available shortly, goes into much more detail than I do here. I wil...

It's spring time and we have just started planting out. We even got the potatoes in to the ground in time for St. Patrick's Day! I grow all our food without any chemicals - completely naturally. The Celtic New Year...Time for A Deep Clean
When I was a much younger woman, I ran around in a tizzy, always frantic to get things done. I lived the majority of my life on a small farm & you were always DOING something. I had my sheep, my dogs, my gardens, a big vegetable patch, along with my daughter & husband. There wasn't much time for BEING. Now, I am older, wiser & I look back & think what a fool I was, as, the work always managed to get done. I live in a small city now & still have a dog, flowers & some vegetables, along with herbs. I have learned the grace of just BEING- sitting on my porch with a nice cup of herbal tea & a good book & surveying my little "kingdom". If I can pass on any wisdom, it is this- take the time EVERY day to do at least ONE thing you absolutely love. We only get each day once & once it's gone, it's gone. Thank you for this! Love & light
Thank you so much, dear one. This was such a great reminder to be still.
Great message!
Over in ireland driving the wild Atlantic Way at the moment. Weather is awful
Sorry about that. Im on the Atlantic Way and our weather has been lovely apart from a stiff breeze! xx Enjoy your holiday
Hello, Terri! This was so relaxing and helpful, as always. I'm sure you enjoyed the herbal tea - must've been so fragrant! Do you have a video on when to use dried vs. fresh herbs for teas and tinctures? I love the affectionate moments between Jazz and Brock (who really steals the show around 12:50!). I also love Lol's music, the horses, and that very cool insect! Thank you for sharing your wisdom. 💚🌼🌹🌿🍵✨
This is a great message from such a peaceful and lovely woman, adorable animals, and beautiful music. I look forward every week when these videos come out.
Thankyou Terri. Your musings reminded me of a piece of wisdom from the Tao Te Ching, "Do without doing and everyting gets done"...Being but also doing from a space of being...it's a mind-bender but actually makes some kind of sense to me. Love your videos..x
Lovely to see your garden, flowers, the dogs and the ponies/horses, doing well. I agree with you; it's peaceful to enjoy the garden. Now the weather in the Netherlands cold and wet is (still), the sun blocked, I love to sit in my greenhouse and enjoy the plants, the cumcumber, peppers and strawberries, which are growing there with light from the lamps that I hung up there and it feels great! Thank you for your video.
What a beautiful video. Thank you so much for sharing. Blessings to all
Your thoughtful comments made me think "One of the main things you NEED to DO is take time to BE"! It's as important as any chore. I find I have to go to a coffeehouse to just "be" (and read, which is my meditation) as I get so distracted at home by things to "do". I'll work on undistracted "being" to hone that skill! Painting is somewhere between doing and being for me as I get lost while painting and love it. Thanks for the thought-provoking topic. ❤
My what a beautiful video today. I enjoyed it so!!!!! Terri your hair looked a little different. Very pretty. ❤️🦉🐿
Great! Your weather is almost identical to mine in Seattle and that just adds to my sense of connection. I feel like I'm there! BTW, that little Hobbit home - is that also on your land? Brock is so happy there ... lovely. Thanks for your strong wisdom 💚
Thank you so much Terri and Lol. Luke and I are so grateful for the beautiful handfasting ceremony you created for us last weekend 🥰 I am glad to see you arrived home safely and the garden is looking so beautiful as well. We felt miserable after you and all the guests left. Was so strange and surreal. See you in Ireland, hopefully next year to play some concerts! Big hugs from North Yorkshire xx PS) Your doglets are so sweet. Bet they were happy to see you!
Life sometimes has a way of forcing us to ~BE~ doesn't it? If we don't take heed and slow down to "smell the roses" and breathe , sometimes through illness or injury or something else that forces us to stop.....Love the videography and bless you for always having your volume at a level I can hear easily
Observe ye the flowers of the field that neither sow nor reap, yet Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these.
Beautiful reminder. So lovely to 'be' with you ALL today ❤
It's a lovely day when you can stop and smell the roses.
Thank you Terri. Such a nice and soothing video. Especially for Virgo people or people woth strong Virgo placements there's always tbis constant jeed to be productive and get stuff done. Sometimes it's necessary to justnstop, take a moment and smell the roses.
Thanks for this. A friend told me long ago. It is ok to just be a human being, not always a human doing working oneself to exhaustion . But many time iI fail at that. I did last week Hartville too much Lemonbalm took hours to clean and hang 😮
Also dia duit to Lol fréisin as his is always great filmography.
Dia duit a Terri cén chaoi a bhfuil tú anois? It's important to take time to care for yourself.
Lovely yes just be when you can
Many thanks and blessings to you. I thank you for your message. It was a beautiful affirmation for my decision to rest today. 🌻🌻
Great Advice! It’s Father’s Day here in America and we are going to gather and enjoy a good meal and company together. Tomorrow I will be able to just be and enjoy my gardens. Love and Light to All! 🙏🏻❤️🌎💕🌞🌱
Thank you so much for these videos and sharing your knowledge with us. I appreciate you ❤
“Consider the lilies of the field, they sow not neither do they reap, but Solomon in all his glory cannot compare with these”. Not verbatum from the bible. Its the only bible quotei know ha ha and to your point, has the most meaning. For me anyway. ✌️❤️
Hi Terri. Hugs and thanks.
Wonderful video, thank you so much. We used to know, as small children, how just bee and then... life happens. As grown-ups, we forget what's life is really about, aren't we? Thank you again for your beautiful videos! ❤
💙💙 Oh, I LOVE the blue in your hair! 💙💙
Well said :) Just being and being happy is what we have to do if those silly system would just finally go to hell.
Tis something I need to do a bit more, being. Always on the go! 😂 My excess herb growth I will mulch and turn into compost. Can only use so much. What do you use the Artemis for? I planted some two yrs ago, thou called Absinthe, as in the liquor, guess I should look into uses! Much love you beautiful beings. ❤❤❤
Thanks :). Great music, and great soft guitar.
Iontach!
Thank you for your precious wisdom. 😊🌱💚🌻🐝
And we are human BEINGS, aren’t we? 🥰
Its funny, I thought the same thing the other day!! I was making my way outside, pruners in hand, with all my to-do stuff rolling around in my head as usual, and I thought: all this tending to it but when do I get to just take it all in?, be in it? A garden to-do list is never ending so I grabbed lawn chair and just parked it right in the middle of it all. I was there for hours and it was amazing how much was going on, things I didnt realize were there, the beauty of everything in harmony with itself. I was overwhelmed with gratitude! The look on Brocks face says it all! Thank you Terry!! Much love 🥰❤
🤗🤗🤗🦜
Hello from the high desert Albuquerque, New Mexico! Every morning, I examine each plant in my garden, look up at the beautiful Sandia (Watermelon) Mountains and thank the Creator for HER blessings. I love your channel.❤
The to do list will always be there... ❤❤❤ 🌻
I love all your videos, today its so femenine picking those lovely herbs for tea, like me and our lady's mantle. Thank you
Perfect❤ Just waking up here and listening to the birds In North Van BC
I live in the Deep South of the US. Temps this time of year usually hover at 90+ degrees F (33 degrees C) by 10AM (not to mention 90% humidity). So I try to make a point early every morning, after I've filled the bird feeders & baths & before the temps reach the broiling point, to sit with my coffee for a bit & just BE. I'm not making plans or "to do" lists or anything beyond just watching the birds feast on the seed I've left them, the green anole lizards (who I leave shallow containers of water out for) skitter about, the bumble bees, dragonflies & butterflies flitting on the clover I am trying to coax into taking over the yard, feeling the sun on my skin & smelling the delicious smell of gardenias & sweet olive. It allows me to reset my mind, heart & soul & helps me start my day with a feeling of calm & serenity.
Are you making a tincture of the lady's mantle or tea?
Those days when we just don't feel 100%, and we're not even sure why... how wonderful to have the natural world to turn to for comfort and communing, as well as the health benefits we can derive from enjoying their bounty. Thanks for this reminder to slow down and smell the roses!
A relaxing visit with Terri Conroy! Beauty everywhere as always. Thank you🍀
Hello, Terri) Thank you for the important reminder 🙏🏽 ❤ 🍀
I recommend to - anyone that can - to live as an ExPat for a while. You will find that you focus less on "distractions" and more on just LIVING.
I love that, Being not Doing . I must learn to do this Terri , I always feel I have to do everything yesterday, thank you for the beautiful and calming video as always . Blessings xx
Lovely film today, but they always are.
Thank you Teri…wonderful message… husband doing a great job on photography….love it all!!!!
